Swaffham Prior Feast is less than one month away.
This year, we're bringing back many of our popular features, including the children of Swaffham Prior School performing a traditional Maypole dance, in the hall, you'll find cream teas, and while you enjoy that, you'll be able to learn more about crafts such as macramé and photography.
In the school playground, we'll introduce you to the wonderful Molly Dancers plus an amazing troupe of Majorettes. Grab a burger or hotdog from the barbecue while you enjoy their performances. Or perhaps you might prefer an ice-cream to cool you down? Well we've got that covered as well in the Hall garden, where you also find a range of games to participate in, from 'Play Your Cards Right' to 'Splat the Rat.' Perhaps you'll prefer to try your hand at bowling or the Can Shy, which is new for this year. And for those who like to pick up a bargain or 2, we'll have our bric-a-brac, plants and cake stalls.
You might remember at last year's event, the Little Library was officially opened. And this year, the creator of this, Charlotte Greeno has something very exciting planned for the younger folks.
And once you've experienced all that, venture into the car park for our Classic Car and Motorbike display.
At 4pm, as has always been the traditional method to close the Feast with, the egg throwing contest will take place on the street outside. Even if you don't plan to take part, this really is something incredible to witness, so don't miss it.
We're looking forward to welcoming you on Saturday 16th May, from Midday at Swaffham Prior Village Hall.
